So the Fiordland Monorail is History,
Or should I say Mythology its was to run from no ware to no ware in through a place almost no one has been
On money that was not yet printed for tourists from a non earthly realm. Yet the Media managed to make it look real
With the aid of artists renditions and carefully scribed words Bob Robertson’s ethereal Monorail has become a Legend
And it’s defeat, a battle of legend !
So are we ready to take on the more Earthy problems that attack Fiordland National Park at it’s Heart and not just it’s borders?
Haast Hollyford Road... Sewage Piplines and other Ecological Timebombs aka Cruise Ships (Floating Cities) or even over-development in Milford Sound.
These are “twisty” problems that are not so easy to deal with and are certainly not as clear cut or sexy to fight against.
