Southland Times - Navy Fuel from Seawater

Part One posted 29th April 2014 to the Southland Times Invercargill NZ

In your paper on Thurs April 24th buried on page 12 was a small article stating that the US Navy Scientists
Think they have cracked a way of Ship Propulsion using Sea Water as Fuel instead of the Traditional Oil
Based system currently in use...

OK, I see for starters that this is not going to make the Energy Extraction people very happy and
Then one has got to wonder why they appear to plan to confine this new technology to War Ships?

But if this is not just Cold Fusion Part 2 one has to ask why is it not on the Front Page in large print?

I mean “Hey Climate Change, Science has the Answer !” would be a cool headline.

Or am I right in thinking “Climate Change” is really just a codename for Overpopulation?
Still, thank goodness I didn’t invest in any NZ Electricity Shares, now that would be Silly if page 12 is anything to go by.

Part Two posted 3rd May 2014:

Further to your Story about the US Navy making Jet Fuel From Sea Water...
I happen to chat with a couple of really Bright Engineers and I checked your April 24th page 12 story about Fuel from Sea Water...
It seems it has been done before but what your article did not say was it is highly Energy intensive.

However... They now have improved on the Process, so it is feasible a Sea Side town with a large Energy Supply at it’s disposal say like one from a defunked
Aluminium Smelter, Could Crank up a lucrative fuel Refinery without needing any Oil or burning any Carbon. And for a Nation let’s say, the size of NZ
It would have the bonus of bringing a measure of strategic Self Sufficiency.

Also it is figured Micro Hydro, Wind, Solar and Tidal energy Generation may well come in to their own with this Technology..
