I recall a few years back when they where looking for a new Pope I wrote a letter musing why they don't they at least try to pick one like they where a democracy.

My question now is what good is religious faith in politics? And what are the rules .
because it appears in the USA Christianity has lost it’s moral compass and no one seems to want to try and guide them back from moral toxicity when it comes to democracy.

And strangely they are scared of our the most Christ like Senator from Vermont

One might even feel like in the USA faith is just a cynical tax dodge with no real humanity at all.

Trump or Snap Election

Things are looking very tricky for democracy in the United States at the moment with the breakdown of law in the higher levels of government. It is a dangerous game of chicken between the White House and Congress at play. 

There is only one tool in the box left to save the United States if congress fails. 

A snap election is the only peaceful hope. If that is held up by civil disobedience the complicated systems of this high tech civilisation will stop working. idiots with guns can not keep the systems going and 21st Century Americans are not capable of foraging for food and fuel like people of Venezuela.

There is another safety valve, many individual States are capable of self preservation if the federal system fails and just maybe the world could do without a mega super power if its too hard to keep it under control.
  
BTW Isn’t that is why FDR made the United Nations ? 

The Dream of Donald Trump NZ

It has been interesting to see Donald J Trump effecting Kiwis  He sure is an interesting guy the way he effects certain people.
He is the long awaited king of the day dream believers, the champion of the powerful wanabe oligarchs club,
he is the Pope of the self important and the patron saint of the near do well sons everywhere. He administers to the many people In abject as well as moral poverty, and to Fundamentalist Christians he is a gift from above.

Unfortunately for some reason his close friends are bitter and twisted gangster like tormentors of humanity,  luckily to protect the population from panicking from this toxic entourage
as the crimes & bodies mount up, our best comedians, Democrat Leaders and journalists weave a soft blanket of normality around him.

You can’t blame people for taking the road of least resistance as resistance is very hard, uncomfortable and dreaming is very undemanding, soft & fluffy .
Sometimes people just have to get through the darn day.

It seems we are at a time in history similar to the Lord of the flies plot
The Democratic Party of the USA Need to decide if they should blow the proverbial conch shell on Donald J Trump and the Republican Party needs to allow the process of the law clear their President from the charges laid against him If the Nation wants to maintain any hope of allowing him to remain a legitimate leader.

Party leaders on both sides are afraid now to do their job because the stakes are so high.
Yet to do nothing means a literal breakdown of law and order.

The Man Children are working themselves into a frenzy as we speak and our only hope is for an adult to step in before
They start clubbing each other with blunt instruments.

Nancy Pelosi, and Mitch McConnell, 18 months of anger and retribution can be an eternity.

Mitch has just told the press he is calling himself the grim reaper  So I don’t think he is a cause for hope.

Hi Future Donald:  I know you and how you would have turned out with the pressure of inheritance that is a Great Burdon to carry.
I know you just wanted to be loved but all the money brings false friends and fake love which makes you grumpy though by nature you are not a bitter person at heart nor are you full of malice you suffer from the plight of the trust fund kid battling a cruel world. The world that will only love and respect you if you act like a monster. It is so easy to surrender but deep inside there will always be a past voice to guide you... Listen to your former self, the one that makes you do the right thing by accident... You might surprise your current self just how liberating that can be.  The Great History Book beckons.

 Dear NYT opinion: 
Some letters are just a heads up for journalists..
Here in New Zealand boffins have been decoding the News Cycle in respect to the pending climate disaster that the human race is facing down.

For a start human overpopulation is the problem not the climate secondly every aspect of the world we know make have to change dramatically very soon and nobody's status will be safe.
There are just two solutions at our disposal one is start finding radical solutions now to save everyone and the other is wait till a crisis and cull the unwanted population so that the status quo can carry on a little longer.

Terrible news indeed but the worst part is that news cycle clearly is pointing to a bloodbath because if it was not population would be the header on the news cycle every day, not buried in obscure podcasts on the internet.

People may be sheep in the eyes of some leader but they evolved to smell fear and Washington is reeking of it. Herding them with lies and electoral fences might be the worst thing to do right now.

Its time that a good honest discussion takes place because Time is not on our side.

US Capitalism I am afraid is a pure luxury and it will have to go into the failed experiment bin.
And just maybe even the Idea of the United States will have to include other nation states if not all.  

So you better not print this if you favour a planetary blood bath.  

Fundamentalist Saudi Fingerprints

I had an interesting conversation with a visiting British Diplomat some years ago about the Middle East
There was a concern about all the Saudi Oil Money and where it goes to and what influence it has on the world.

Since then we have seen that their export brand of religious anti female humiliation and general cruelty seems to follow that money... A lot of it has seeped into the USA and their morality fingerprints can be found on the throats of some very high officials of the right wing persuasion.

The current situation is interesting with President Donald threatening the Saudis with retribution if they are found to be killing important US Journalists willy nilly... No doubt here will be people closely watching to see who gets flushed of of the Washington bushes so to speak as the Saudi Government ramps up their anti US counter threats.

Bad US Presidents Between Wars

Bad US President are interesting to study in history, In fact the horrific events of the 20th century can be attributed to 3 really bad presidents after World War One. 

After causing the Germans to quit the war these leaders allowed the US Bankers to bleed Germany dry and humiliate then beyond belief, they also endlessly attacked the fragile Soviet union turning the into paranoid monsters, they wrecked the US Economy and where inches away from turning into a failed state. They turned Italy and Japan from allies to foes.

So if you think it’s fun having a bad president in Washington humiliating populations of people you don’t like, just for a moment consider the unforeseen consequences.

Yes we all want a strong leader in charge to keep order in the world. But never ever pick a wana-be gangster.
 even if he is a cute man-baby.

Farming US Voters

Dear NYT opinion:
I must say in 2018 there is one overlooked group of Americans that we should feel sympathetic for.
The white republican centre of the USA is being used as a vast Vote Farm and these people are treated like political livestock.

Very sad to see a once proud people being subjected to paranoia based mind control bombarded with propaganda, fenced into voting areas and forced into breeding by removing reproductive rights.

Not realising their children are highly prized as pawns for the military and corporations thus breaking up family groups.
Sadly these vote farms  are monoculture societies and religious tyrannies that are not as economically vibrant as the dynamic coastal areas of the continent, that now are areas where they can no longer afford to move to unless they are young and strong with a Republican stronghold to go to.


Like the Mexicans before the fence went up they can venture out for work in unpleasant jobs to earn money to bring home if they want to keep their family together, as long as they don't pick up any fancy intellectual Ideas... or learn of unions... or the big wide world beyond the oceans.  and true freedom.

It is clear in 2018 there are only two truly beloved leaders in US Politics at the moment
One is the Christ-like Senator from Vermont  who is by-far the most loved US Politician in the modern era.
The other is an ex Slum Lord from Queens who appears to be a master of deception and cruelty .
So why are the US Fundamentalists not loving to Christ-like man who offers to set them free from the pains
of this world instead of a character out of the book of Revelations?

I know the first Christians where originally a end of the world cult started by disaffected Jews but I though the had got over that in the last 2000 years.

They have inspired so many with their infused Greek Philosophy, soul searching and questioning in recent times.
Where has it all gone wrong ?

It’s hard to write about the Current US President these days because he has captured the news conversation of the planet for what feels like forever. Many pundits feel like we are on a train to Hitler Station, but there is one thing they rarely touch on, both President #45 and the late German Chancellor both generated a wave of intense infatuation in the population. How is it homely, almost comic, cruel men can tap into unconditional love to cause wide scale death and destruction?

If only they could have used the Love of Bernie Saunders to derail number 45, America would not be split into 2 political Tribes.

Reading between the lines I recon the Trump is addicted to love like crack because of his childhood...  Just like other scary leaders of the past.    

And why are all the normal politicians so un loveable ? Hillary & Al Gore missed the boat there... If they where loved there would be no tolerance for cheating behavior from the other camp.  Love is like Midichlorians from Star Wars. It’s a force!

Lamenting of Donald J Trump

It’s hard to write about Donald J Trump in the paper but it was good J Wilson did on the 6th about the Laments of voting Trump...  If I had to sum the situation of US politics what once was a friendly game of chess now is a game of good and evil and one side has lost their queen in an illegal move and is only a few moves away from checkmate. And now the arbitrator of the game is being threatened.  Trump was heard joking that opponents  who do not smile and clap for him are traitors in his eyes. If that is a real opinion we should not be lamenting we should all be scared.
