I would just like to say to Pegasus Developer Bob Robertson, Thank your for your entertaining Monorail to pipe Queenstown tourists through to the edge of of Fiordland National Park. It has been a legendary Battle for the People of Te Anau and Manapouri to take it down.
It was Mythology in the making! it was to run from noware to noware in through a place almost no one has been
on money that was not yet printed for tourists from a non earthly realm. It was perfect theatre
with the aid of artists renditions and carefully scribed words Bob Robertson’s ethereal Monorail has become a Legend
And it’s defeat, a fight that we shall talk about for years to come !
We should be ready now to take on the more Earthy problems,
The Havill – Haast - Hollyford Road... Sewage Piplines and other ecological issues like Cruise Ships (Floating Cities) crowding the Sounds or even over-development in Milford, now that the “Powers That Be” want us to double our Tourism profit.
These are “twisty” problems that are not so easy to deal with and much less fun to fight against I warrant.
