NZ Tourism Bubble - Blame the Airlines

The Problem we have with Tourism is too many Airline Seats dumping masses of people on a Small Population.

We are not geared up for unregulated Chaos every time the Dollar is cheap , Either regulate the Flow or
Put a Massive Landing Tax to sort out the scroungers from the proper tourists .

Our Tourism Minister is asleep at the wheel...

NZs Tourists Bubble - Milford Sound

As a tax payer I would like to point out that our taxes are being used badly when it comes to Milford Sound.
I fail to see why we are subsidizing the Boat Operators by supplying unnecessary Campsites at Cascade Creek just to fill the early boats.

Time was the Late boats where the budget cruises and that meant it was Ideal to stay in Te Anau to do a Milford cruise at leisure.

If DOC HQ  wants to take pressure off the National Park Camp sites they should start running their own budget cruises after 3pm
At least until the current glitch of ultra cheep airfares stops the tsunami of free campers from washing up in our Resorts.

...And Ultimately getting washed down the Eglinton River in the next big flood at Cascade Creek Like the one that saw Ngai Tahu pack it in.

Political Anxiety in New Zealand

 Good letter from C Findlater of Ryal Bush this weekend on the state of New Zealand’s Gross national Happiness which seems to be on the decline.
Really it has to be said Thatcherist Capitalism does work well if you are Very Lucky and have the means to stay lucky and don’t mind the anxiety that one day your luck will eventually run out.

 As for our Politicians... We don’t really get to pick them, they sort of pick themselves just like all people in power today they all pick each other and we get to endorse
Someone we didn’t want in the first place in an what is jokingly called an election...

I see the Chinese Leaders consider themselves as “administrators”  which is really all we need , the “Game Show” of our Western elections is  really O T T if you think about it.
It should be seen as a Job of Work, not a throne.

Re Audrey Young’s story on the Flag Design Selection
Let it be known that not all flag designs have been submitted because some artists do not want to be tarnished by the kill-joy way Mr Key has gone about
This referendum  also the fact that our Scots Irish English History is Stomped on is bizarre coming as it is from a man who brought back Knighthoods.
So my Flag design that Incorporates a Stylized Union Jack was never submitted.

Poor John Key... He is cursed, Potentially Fun thing he touches turns sour. The Flag debate was always a bit of fun for artists but not anymore.
Cycle Trails where suppose to be Fun ad so was the filming of the Hobbit Movies but Mr Key Spoiled the Party Just like the Idea of Building a utopian Christchurch
And the art of Property Speculation and investment now has the shine taken off.

No offense Mr Key but you are a Party Pooper. You could have had a Newspaper Poll and spent the Flag money on Otago Health Services.
What ever Flag you pick will remind everyone of THAT every time they see it.
