There are very few people of fame that deserve a Peoples LCR award from this blog
especially our old school politicians, and ones that do tend to get lost in the fog of egos and greed
as well as media bias, we have dug around and found a few real gems but there are many more who
should be rewarded with LCR for their selflessness, character and organising abilities to counter the truly awful people who are endlessly rewarded purely for being despicable with power money and fame.

 Here is to those who refuse to use humiliation as a weapon but wield sympathy and hope .

People like Helen Clark of the United Nations who nearly became the most powerful woman on Earth. If she had and was joined by Senator Bernie Sanders in 2016 their combined power would have been unstoppable.

The good MUST be rewarded.

America Reaches Peak Stupid 2018

Now that the United States of America has reached peak stupid...
Don’t you think it’s time to open the windows and let the stink out?
America was founded on a dumb idea that only pointless hard toil and unpleasantness is somehow worthy.
Today our smart people are coming up with some great ways to fix the nation’s mindset
but you guys are stuck in the mud spinning your wheels going down the same old road to nowhere.
Everybody in the USA can have a sense of pride and purpose as citizens of the greatest nation ever,
sure it will take time, money and work but what else can we invest our lives in ?
If you are doing your job properly you will see this. Seek out the progressives !
A job well done is more rewarding that anything you can imagine.   

A friendly word to the NZ Government

I would like to let my friends in the Government know that there are some really smart Ideas coming out of the Progressives in the USA that could be useful to New Zealand. Government Guaranteed Jobs is one such Idea.
It is UBI with a work focus.

The Idea that People need meaning in their lives is just part of being alive. Prison, Bad Jobs and Work and Income are all toxic to the human spirit and to the nations feeling of togetherness no debate there.

The Government can fix this in many ways but first we need to agree on the focus. And that is without Question bringing skills and purpose.

Our Heritage I think is something most people think is important, be it old technology, Renovation and restoration skills, wildlife conservation, environmental restoration, lost skills once common in NZ or just preserving Kiwiana  would bring back not only a sense of achievement  but more people will learn to be part of our community and not feel like a burden.

It is a myth that all jobs are to sustain the economy there are lots of pointless jobs that produce nothing useful and in many cases harm the environment and clog our highways but worst of all they give little satisfaction. 

America has reached peak stupid and is now thinking again and they want life to have a point for a change. 

A hard question for Richard Dawkins

I would really like to ask our esteemed evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins a question about us Anglo Europeans
what is it in our population that there is a genetic disposition to cruelty and humiliation that is not seen on the same level in other populations?

At this point in history prosperity has never been so great in all regions of this planet yet 50% of our Anglo European population seem hell bent on spreading misery and uncertainty in the political environment.  

Of course this is not a new thing as any history book will tell you a proportion of us are overwhelmed with burning emotions
That make us miserable and in dire need of medication, if not from our own anxiety's but those of our community.

I can only say that all those generations tempered by the climate, sickness and wars of the pre Civilisation Europe must have twisted something of our caveman genetics ? Or is there some other reason like collateral guilt for all our need to control ?

Perhaps this might be the time to do some self reflection before we again unleash our inner demons and the dogs of war.

No Doubt Dawkins would say it is symptomatic of our systems of faith and by proxy, justice and of course stubbornness.

Every once and a while a veteran journalist changes lanes and has a go at politics, and why not?
Most politicians start off as stuffy businessmen or lawyers. Few have investigative training,
Jason Kander is a war correspondent come pod caster who is now running as mayor for a large American city.

Jason looked at voters needs and apart from Health, Housing and Justice people desire to stay where they are happy and not have to chase work to the ends of the country or in some cases the ends of the earth.
It turns out most people want to stay in the communities they grew up in with their friends and family close by

Invercargill like Kansas City probably is suffering from the same population creep in it’s heart and this hidden pain is probably one of the great rejections of the global village agenda that is now causing so much upset in other nations.

Community is important... It took a seasoned War hardened Journalist to see it.

NZs Department of Conservation blues

The tragic deaths on the Gertrude Saddle near Milford Sound in your recent publication are explainable from a historic perspective. 

Tragic deaths might well be exacerbated by Instagram inspired explorations of our national parks but one has to point out that the management of tourism points of interest in the DOC leaves something to be desired, clearly the desire to interact with our parks is stronger that the ability to stop it.
Also it is a unwritten rule in our park management that only strong rugged individuals get free reign in the conservation estate.

The fact that the tourism boom is not being dealt with competently is partly due to this culture in the department but also that creative people are not wanted or rewarded in said organisation.
I have cataloged and posted countless improvements that could be used to improved the Fiordland Experience over the years based on local & visitor conversations.

The lack of transparency is number one followed closely by restructuring and incentives for “hands on” tourism to complement that of the private sector.
  
Also stop punishing the management for every accident, it just makes them paranoid... We can’t make them wrap everyone in cotton wool if people desire to go outdoors. 

 

Grumpy old White Men of NZ

I hear Southland has a reputation for grumpy old men, self taught in social politics both local and international
who feel morally obliged to publicly pontificate about the danger of change in our society here and abroad.

I am happy to report they need not stop the clock because change is the essence of life and possibilities of unknown avenues  but more importantly no generation has the right to dictate to the next how to live especially if they want to glorify the world of their parents or grandparents generation or worse the 1st Century.

Yes we need the wisdom of the old and wise more than ever but in the end the planet is passed on to next in line and yes they make dumb mistakes but they absolutely don’t need to be told they are unworthy. The human race is as always a generational work in progress. Unless you count 2nd generation trust fund kids! 

DNC Chicago 1944 Convention Fraud

How did we get to the dreadful mess we are in today where with gangster backed politicians using lying and cheating to defeat honesty and morality? The rift started in Chicago 1944 when FDR was out of the country.

World History would have been totally different if DNC Chair Frank Walker and James Byrnes's goon had not interfered with the running of the convention.
The world missed out on progressive Henry A Wallace becoming 33rd President of the United States.

The desire to mainstream lying and cheating into the Nations Politics and Media has sewn global tragedy like dragons tears.

This 1944 debacle was been repeated by the DNC in 2016 Bernie Saunders scandal.

* A alternative history was written where Frank Walker failed to use fire marshals to stop the voting in Chicago 1944 from the perspective of an alternative 43rd president but was not published.
