 The House Prices in Auckland are a sign that our Government is not only incompetent but nasty as well.
A proper Government is suppose to look after all of it’s citizens properly regardless of where they live
Or their Income! Clearly what has happen in Auckland is a total failure of Political will from Both Sides of the House to allow this imbalance to get so far out of hand... Besides we should not put all our eggs in the Auckland Basket as it is a Volcanic Field. Logically no NZ city should be a “supercity” as no Civic place is Geologically Safe enough to risk the whole Nation apart from maybe Oamaru.

Clearly now the Government is Pandering ONLY to Rich Overseas New Comers with 8 times as much spending power than to it’s own citizens who stayed on here and worked for peanuts to keep this Country Going. *Excluding those who win Lotto of course..

If you do the simple maths I would say we have all been hijacked!

Haville Highway - Haast to Milford

 I read in the Advocate that The Haville Milford to Haast Turnpike is all go on paper now if not In the physical world.
But alas time is against the good people of South Westland it seems, scientists say if we do not stop burning carbon
and ripping up the Planet like there is no tomorrow there might actually be NO TOMORROW. It takes a while but  our Governments will
Eventually Turn Green to ensure Civilization does not go down the proverbial toilet, Sorry this will Clash with the Highway on some Fundamental Grounds.
When the Green Revolution comes to pass, we will all have sacrifices EVEN the South Westland Council. Or should I say “Especially”

This material is not secret, it is out for all to read. Oh and If you are building a Highway along the Alpine Fault You should probably read up on that too.

My advice is If your going to build it, do it sooner rather than later.

With all the terrible stuff going on in the World with followers of Ancient belief cultures I would like to point out that
What happened in Paris with the one sided shoot out between Islamists and Heavily Armed Cartoonists is not the World going nuts.

There is statistically a proportion of any population who are genetically  flawed enough to become brainwashed killers for other people’s causes especially ancient faiths, Tribal and Nationalism.

Why is it that Humanity keeps suffering from the Ideas of the Ancient World? It is a documented Data that the life expectancy from the first century was only about 28 years old so the Ancient World was it seems mostly populated by teenagers and people with undeveloped Brains. People who thought religious revelations came from drinking Seawater. They are also people who are easy recruits for suicide missions to this day.

Our intellectual elite says  Humanity has grown up now and we should stop this nonsense and get on with saving our planet, I tend to agree. Charlie Hebro’s lives should stand for something.

I would just like to point out that my "NZ" Flag was in fact a cartoon parody of all the things
Kiwis said the New Flag should be. I had been a cartoonist of sorts when I drew it,
People should not take it too seriously.

They can still run it up the flagpole if the Government ever declares a national don't take yourself too seriously DAY : )

4th Hobbit Film for Queenstown

If you think about it there should be a Final Hobbit Film that Showcases the Real Star of The Lord of the Rings and Tolkien Trilogies:
New Zealand.
The late Dave Comer helped put together a Legendary Film of Fiordland Called Ata Whenua based on Music and Landscape only .
 So there should be a Short Cinema Film of All of Middle Earth with the Howard Shore Score featuring the Queenstown lake District, including Mount Earnslaw, Glenorchy, the Deer Park Heights, Mavora, Wanaka, Te Anau, Manapouri the Lost Tolkien Mountains and Mount Tolkien.

and Especially the Silverlode Falls Flowing from Manapouri’s North West Lake (Peter Jackson’s Favorite Location)

In Homage to the Jarred Conon, Ian Brodie, Alfie Speight and the wonderful Dave Comer.

If you think about it , it would be rude not to!

I don’t really want to be conversing with Spirtual Facists at this point considering what has happened in Paris
but if any one wants to know about Richard Dawkins you can find his Material in Bookshops
And on line, I suggest that the Aussie CJ Wherelman’s Books are also enlightening for those people fascinated with
Bible Stuff from a more local perspective. Due to editorial limits I can not explain the views of these writers in a small Public Opinion
Window.

And  BTW I don’t need to have the answers to EVERYTHING as I don’t think it is a constructive use of my time. I do like to observe life and on occasion, share my thoughts.

ODT- the Kingston Flyer Curse

I have been Watching the Kingston Flyers Progress since I was in School when it first was mooted to Use Heritage Steam Trains for Tourists by the NZ Railways and I have to say it looks like Kingston is just doomed to fail at every attempt to make this Idea Work
The Best chance it had was when the then Fiordland Travel (aka Real Journeys) had a joint venture trip with the TSS Earnslaw
but they gave up on it. After that it just lost steam with blow after Blow I did suggest to the Late Les Hutchins how owned Real Journeys that they could have used there second Steam Ship the SS Tawera from Te Anau (similar to the old Ben Lomond) as a stand in for the Earnslaw and buy into the Flyer operation to make Kingston a Heritage Steam Town again... But it too risky Financially even for the Adventurist Les who was not physically well at the time.
And as Les would say his Board would see it as a Hare Brained Scheme anyway.

Today there are People with an eye on getting the Flyer one group in Invercargill want to put her back on the Rails to Bluff
As she was in the late 1970s when the Rails to Kingston got ripped out for scrap.

If they do that I would like to see the Mandeville Kingston Flyer People bring back their train to Kingston.
If you think about it, it would be rude not to .

Personally I think there is a curse on the Train, History says bad luck follows it.  Even Peter Jackson & Sam Neil  have abandoned their Patron positions, now Russell Glendinning. She really is an Orphan Now.

 

Richard Dawkins - Un Answered Questions

I see the subject of Richard Dawkins has come up for discussion in your Public Oppinion It seems there ARE some things Mr Dawkins has failed to answer about Evolutionary Biology:
For example Why do Humans have the physiology of Marine Mammals ?
I know we can swim & dive in the Ocean and use our Breath Control to Talk and control our body Temperature
better than Chimps and Bonobos but if it came to a Bare Handed Fight they would break us in half.
And they are much better at falling out of trees without ill effect.

Despite this I have to say Richard Dawkins really cares about all Humans and wants the best for them
Most Really Cleaver People Ignore Religion and won’t bother talking to its followers unless
For purposes of Manipulation, just look at old Newsreels of NAZIS Burning Jewish Books
There are illuminated Christian Crosses around the Fire, The Thing Dawkins Says is that the World is a Complicated Place
and People Shouldn’t try and simplify to one shot easy answers as it is intellectually laziness.

Richard really wants to save people from the danger of Closed Minds or demanding definitive answers to Everything.

Where Now for Middle Earth - Thierry Jutel

Thierry Jutel of Victoria University wrote a article on the effect JRR Tolkien’s Film Trilogy
Will have permanently on New Zealand ?

I think thanks to the Late Dave Comer and the very much alive Sir Peter Jackson there will be some money thrown into
Presenting Middle Earth Pilgrimage Sites around the Country now that the movie presentation story is finished.

I would like to Challenge the Southland Mayors to try and do something positive in Presenting these Places with some Modest infrastructure such as Information Signage and walkways...

I know Mayor Frana was not keen on this kind of Tourism from her words in the Sunday Star Times but she is retired now.
Fiordland Southland and West Otago have some very Special Places for the Middle Earth Tourist and they are also nice for Regular people as well, in fact they are the Best outside of Hobbiton and the Volcanoes.

I must say even though I quoted John Cleese I didn’t really expect the Spanish Inquisition!
E Mills might look out for them though as E Mills not only “Dissed” the Pythons but the Pope as well.
I don’t have Gods email and he has no complaints department though obviously several People in Invercargill speak on his behalf and as I have noted. So I would Like to complain to them about the lousy workmanship we have to put up with, Feel free to add to it feedback:  like Yes the Human Eye is complex but other Animals got better ones and they don’t have to wear glasses when they get old. Or Why does all the Rain Fall in the Ocean where there are no crops? Why didn’t Jesus know English or at least Write Latin ?
What’s with all the Religious Turf Wars. When is the New 2K Bible out. Or my favorite: Why do you need money from Poor People when you already own everything by default..? And... if EVERYTHING is part of a great plan than why is E Mills so unhappy with it?

Southand Times - the Christmas Myth

I read laments that people have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas these days
Yes it once was a Solstice Festival to mark the turning of Winter on the road to spring.
If we want to celebrate this we should do it in July. the Jesus story is nice but hardly based on
specifics, even the Pope says we take it to literally in fact like Santa Claus Jesus just wants to know if your
naughty or nice and as John Cleese Pointed out All the Smartest people never take things literally so Pope Frank MUST be smart and you CAN celebrate Christmas in Winter and it won't bother Emperor Constantine as he is way too dead to care. After all it is all just an uplifting fairytale mainly for Children and silly adults just want to spoil it by being far too literal and way too materialistic!
BTW Why can't we celebrate the Planet? it was been very good to us so far.
 

Invercargill Roberies - Public Oppion

and my questioning the cause.

I have to say most people do not understand the way modern money works
It has ceased to be Nation States paying it’s citizens for hard work as It has evolved into a global Population Control Device
based on Hi Tech Electronics.  If you look at it objectively we are rewarded for compliance and punished for disobedience
With Humiliation and stress.

It Works well for you if you are Lucky with Good Quality Parents or if you win a lottery but otherwise you are at the whim of Politicians who can turn or loosen the Screws. At the moment they are pretty darn tight!

Ironically it would be better for every one if every Dairy had an ATM that took community Service Cards and dispensed interest free Cash!

BTW Southland is probably the worst place to be a unskilled and unemployed in NZ unless you come from the Philippines
And like Cows... Because Poverty is as they say... Abject.

John Birch Society Reboot - NY Times

It sound like the USA is on the verge of RE Booting the old John Birch Society and the
Soviet era Un-American Committee with the Islamic Community in mind.
Before my time these guys named and shamed anyone who was viewed as subversive
And whole families where blocked from Federal Jobs and other benefits, it was pretty grim stuff.
I wouldn’t advise people to tempt a return to this bit of Americana but I do wonder if there will
be official recognition that some United States Citizens that have deep roots in the Republic
And perhaps get better social treatment from Today's Modern Corporate States of America
Than citizens of less the affluent Nations of the World.
If American wants us to love it, It should love us Back.

NZs 1080 Dillemma

16th of December 2014 to the Otago Daily Times Newspaper Dunedin NZ

 DOC admits today that there 1080 Drops have Killed Three Kea fitted with Transmitters.
Oh and how many Kea where NOT fitted with Transmitters that are now dead from 1080?
How many Falcon Hawks and Weka are fitted with Tracking Devices ? They ARE likely to ingest 1080 rodents
Are they not?  I am sorry but this is not Science at work but pure guesswork. Common Sense tells us this..
The Department of Conservation just hasn’t got the Manpower to do the fieldwork needed for the size of their estate.
The Kea is officially on the Road to Extinction and the Government has just tar sealed it.
Oh yes we can remove all rodents from Mainland New Zealand but it might hurt a little.

I am sure someone in history said “We know Atomic Bombs are not perfect but they our the best tool we have to do the job”.

Southland Low Lifes in the News

I read in the News more sad stories about robberies involving the members of lowlife community
I wonder what went wrong, are people angry that they got born with out their opinion on the matter?
Are they suffering from lacking a support structure that cares about them ?
Is it the Lack of Jobs in our fair country for the unskilled?
Is it the dehumanizing Social Welfare system that makes them feel Worthless?
Maybe it is just the fact that Humans are the only Species that has to pay money for the privilege  of
Living.

Or basically Perhaps they need a short sharp boot up the Backside!

I like to think We Humans are capable of so much better...  100 years ago this Christmas
World War one stopped in its tracks because the Soldiers had just had enough and wanted some Christmas cheer
much to the annoyance of Church and State, for a brief moment the whole good guy bad guy show stopped and
Humanity showed just what it was spontaneously capable of. Oddly when they turned the Guns back on it showed us that  low-lifes are not just the our lowly losers but Masters as well. And our World was never to be the same.

Today it’s a Climate Summit... The fate of the lowlifes is on the block yet again!

Seeing it’s a great day for Peter Jackson in Hollywood...
And now that Sir Peter Jackson has the Hobbit “Done and Dusted” I think it’s time to call for New Zealand to mend fences with Christopher Tolkien, JRR Tolkien’s Son.
Why? because in the 1980s the NZ Government Snubbed the Tolkien’s when they removed his Father’s Names from the Map of New Zealand without so much as consulting him.
It was especially if you read the demeaning reasons for the action in the first place, followed decades later by the Anduin Reach Saga and then Tolkien’s Mountain.
It’s clear Christopher has been shown pretty poor treatment by NZ Government representatives considering all the economic benefits His Fathers Works have brought us.
As the Steward of the Tolkien Estate he deserves better respect.

At this point in time a Prime Ministerial Apology would be a great gesture considering Christopher is not that happy with New Zealand and that is truly a sad thing.

New Zealand Taxpayers through Prime minister John Key have subsidized Hollywood Corporations with Millions of Dollars over the years but have only given the fingers to the Tolkien Family.

Consequently the Tolkien Estate has every reason to make sure any future Tolkien Films are done in the UK.

Further to the Christina McDonald Article 18/4/13 of the official 1979 Snub against JRR Tolkien in Fiordland by Government Representatives and later unflattering official comments about the Anduin Reach and Tolkien’s Mountain Stories from elected officials
I think we should reflect on what the Tolkien Family has given NZ when we sit down to watch the final Hobbit installment this week
It’s Pretty embarrassing how as a Nation we kissed up to Hollywood money-men but we could only show contempt for the Tolkien Estate. It is no wonder Christopher Tolkien JRR Tolkien’s Son is not happy with our Country.

I would have to say there is an official apology due at some level, The Tolkien’s do own computers and can read our News Papers, they also know they have not made a single cent from from their Contribution to NZ’s Tourism Windfall. It sucks as bad as the way this country treats Sherpa Tenzing.
Not really Cricket considering the Final Message to Humanity of the Hobbit sagas.
