Why are the Cruise liners avoiding Fiordland and Stewart Island?
I blame the Costa Concordia disaster in the Mediteranian. If one of those Floating Cities went down in one of our Fjords like Milford Sound it would turn it in to a write off
And It’s probably a risk the cruise companies are not keen to take, even a minor problem off that Coast can
Become a big logistical headache real fast. The Costa Concordia actually had it lucky, and that would have bankruped NZ Let alone Environment Southland!
